Medical Gas Cylinder central Plant stations are installed to provide a reliable source of supply for the Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide & Medical Air requirements of hospitals. Principal details of these Plants are usually similar. The only difference is the number of cylinders which are used in the Plants. These pressured gases are used in Operation Theatres, Intensive Care Units, Baby Care Units, Emergency Rooms and Patient Rooms.
The gas is stored at high pressure in spesifically made cylinders that are connected to the Central Plant Station. The pressure in the cylinder will vary according to the gas contained in the cylinder (O2, - N2O. Air). This Plant has been designed and built specially for hospitals to comply fully with ISO 7396:2004, ISO 13485:2003, EN 46001, ISO 14971, EN 980, EN 940, EN 739, EN 737, EN 793, DIN 13260, HTM 2022 and American Standards and is CE Marked. These Plants are manufactured in compliance to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485:2001, EN 46001, EN 1441:1997, EN 980,EN 940, EN 739, EN 737 ,EN 793, DIN 13260, HTM 2022, American Standards and CE Marked.
The Plants are proposed according to the hospital capacity as follows:
1>Automatic (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical Air ) Plant Auto System 8200
2>Automatic (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Medical Air ) Plant Auto System 8001
3>Manual Plant 
4>Emergency Supply Plant System

1> AUTOSYSTEM 8200 OXYGEN, NITROUS OXIDE& MEDICAL AIR PLANT
  • There are two high pressure regulators with 120 m³/ h capacity in the automatic control panel of the plant.

  • Plants are equipped with non-return valves, in order to prevent discharge of the gas in the cylinders, during the replacement of the cylinders or in case of leakage from the pipeline.

  • If the pressure of the gas in the operating cylinder group drops below 5 bar, control panel automatically transfers gas flow from working group to standby group by automatic changeover.

  • All regulators available in the plant are equipped with safety valves which open at 12 Bar to protect from damages of over pressure to hospital pipeline and all other related equipment thus releasing the gas safety to the atmosphere.

 
 

AUTOSYSTEM 8200 CONTROL PANEL

The control panel is used to control the changeover of one cylinder bank to another and to provide the regulation of the gas pressure from cylinder banks before being distributed to the systems. On the control panel are the following services; INDICATOR PANEL BOARD
The Indicator Panel Board consists of: which shows the running and alarm situation of the Plant, one digital panel which shows the line & cylinder group pressures. 
Manometer Panel gauges; It works with the data coming from the pressure switches. The Panel is set for high pressure with 2 0-400 bar pressure switches and 1 Switch for low pressure.

     
HIGH PRESSURE REGULATOR
  • The high-pressure regulator, provides regulation by decreasing the pressure of high-pressure gas coming from the cylinder banks or from the tanks (in systems that include banks) if appropriate, to a level that can be controlled by the line pressure regulator. The flow rate is 120 m³/h. The Maximum running pressure is 250 bars. Adjustable outgoing pressure value is 0- 12 bar. In the factory adjusted outgoing value is set at 7-8 bar.

SOLENOİD VALVE

Solenoid valve, trying to empty the tube groups in the case of automatic control panel is filled by changing the direction of the tube to provide transitional benefits to the group. This process of programmed processor is performed with solenoid valves. After high pressure regulator solenoid valve is mounted. Check valve after solenoid valves fitted. With this check valve in the system through a tube to the other side of the case studies in order to prevent the flow of gas into the system is mounted.

To flow completely through the automatic control card based on the programmed processor is provided. Solenoid valves, the system are mounted with connectors to both groups. Not to cut off gas to energy facilities in the system normally open solenoid system is also used in both groups. When he left the gas flow of energy from the group will continue.

SECOND STAGE REGULATOR   SAFETY VALVE

After the second pressure reducing valve solenoid is mounted as a by-pass circuit. Inlet pressure is 7-8 bar. The second stage regulator adjusts the outgoing pipeline pressure to a value of 4 bar and for surgical air the setting would be about 7 bar. This is called the pipeline.

 

The function of the safety valve is to discharge, to regulate pressure, when there is a leakage in one of the high pressure regulators and the line pressure rises up to 13 bar.

 
           
PRESSURE SWITCH   AUTOMATIC CHANGEOVER

Control panel, right, left tube group, and the system pressure switches are input block.
One of the keys to the left of the group and one high pressure tube on the right tube is used to group pressures.

Automatic Changeover of the valves in the 8001 system takes place when one Cylinder bank is exhausted and brings the full cylinder bank on stream. It can be connected to the automation systems. 

 
HEADER   FLEXIABLE CONNECTOR

For each cylinder connection, there is a hot forged brass made tail pipe and non-return valve which prevents back-flow of the gas. They provide connection between pigtail pipes and plant. 
According to the number of the cylinders available on the plant, number of the ramp varies. There are several types of ramps as 2-3 and 5 cylinders.

 

Flexible Connection between Ramp and Panel:
Ø 8x2 mm Medical Type Copper Pipe is used. It is located between Ramp& Panel. 
Flexible Connection between Ramp & Ramp:
Ø 8x2 mm Medical Type Copper Pipe is used. It is located between Ramp & Ramp.

 
CYLINDER TASK   PIG TAIL

Cylinder Rack is used to support and fix the cylinders on the headers.
The cylinders are secured by means of chains to prevent them being dislodged and cause a danger to the users and the system. 
There are three types of cylinder racks as 2-3 & 5 cylinders capacity racks. 
Suitable cylinder racks are chosen according to the capacity of the hospital.

 

These are manufactured from Ø8x2 mm Medical Copper pipe and suitable for the connection between the Plant Header and the cylinders. 
They are tested at 250 bar pressure.

2> AUTOSYSTEM 8001 OXYGEN, NITROUS OXIDE & MEDICAL AIR PLANT
  • The operation system of 8100 and 8001 are similar to each other.

  • It is usually used in hospitals with low capacity to supply the Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide and Medical Air requirement of the hospital.

  • There are no automatic changeovers on the control panel and also on the panel part illuminated indicators.

  • Panels with digital indicators and pressure switches are also do not exist.

 
3>   MANUAL OXYGEN, NITROUS OXIDE & MEDICAL AIR PLANT
 

Manual Plants are used to supply the Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide & Medical Air requirements of the hospital.

There are two high pressure regulators with 120 m³/ h capacity in the plant.The gauges on the automatic control panel indicate the current condition of the cylinders connected to the plant.

If the gas pressure in the operating cylinder group drops below 7 bars, It is indicated on the alarm panel, and the other group will be entered into operation manually.

 
4>  EMERGENCY SUPPLY MANIFOLD
 

This is a low capacity, manual controlled manifold which can be entered into operation during the maintenance or failure of the system.

It supplies oxygen, nitrous oxide and medical air requirements of hospitals temporarily.

It has no automatic changeover and has just one regulatör.
